The present review is aimed to compare two AV receivers - Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A3080 vs Yamaha RX-A6A that are meant to satisfy the needs of cinema and music lovers.
Considered AV receivers have the same number of channels 9.2. Regarding power, then AVENTAGE RX-A3080 has such a W/Ohm ratio - 150/8, 230/4 when RX-A6A has a power of 150/8. The THD is the same and is 0.06%.
Characteristics of digital to analog converter (DAC) are different, ESS SABRE 384 KHz/32-bit for AVENTAGE RX-A3080 and 384 KHz/32-bit for the RX-A6A. Both the AVENTAGE RX-A3080 and the RX-A6A support Bi-amping. Each of the AV receivers can transmit an audio signal directly to the amplifier and bypasses any DSP processing.
