Amplifier

Dolby Vision technology found support only on the AVR-X4800H. Only the AVR-X4800H supports HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). The HDMI eARC is available only on the AVR-X4800H. Of the two receivers in our comparison, HDMI CEC is present in only the AVR-X4800H. These compared receivers have a built-in phono stage for connecting a vinyl player. Supported voice control technologies are identical - Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri, Josh.AI. It is also worth noting that the ECO mode is presented in each of the receivers. Both AVR-X4800H and R-N2000A can be configured using the Setup assistant.

Multichannel surround

Only the AVR-X4800H has a Dolby Atmos multichannel audio format support. A surround technology DTS:X is supported only by the AVR-X4800H.
