Denon AVRS730H vs Yamaha RX-V677 – that is a question.
AV receivers under review have the same number of channels. In terms of power, there are differences, the AVRS730H has such a ratio W/Ohm - 75/8, 110/6, while the RX-V677 has a power of 90/8, 150/4. The value of total harmonic distortion is also different, and for the AVRS730H it is 0.08%, but for the RX-V677 it is 0.09%.
The manufacturer installed different DACs, the AVRS730H received the model 384 KHz/32-bit, but the RX-V677 is equipped with Burr-Brown 192 KHz/24-bit. The Bi-amping function is implemented only in the Yamaha RX-V677. The model RX-V677 can transmit an audio signal directly to the amplifier and bypasses any DSP processing.
Wireless Internet access via WIFI is possible on both units. Each of the receivers has a Bluetooth connector. Signaling over HDMI in standby mode can provide the AVRS730H and the RX-V677. Video scaling is only possible with the RX-V677. Operation with the Dolby Vision is only possible with the AVRS730H.
The number of HDMI inputs/outputs is the same - 6/1. HDMI Audio Return Channel is implemented in both devices. HDMI eARC is not supported by the AVRS730H and the RX-V677. When comparing receivers, it becomes clear that each of the rivals can work with HDMI CEC. AVRS730H and RX-V677 support the standard HDCP 2.2. Unlike most receivers, our models do not have a built-in phono stage for connecting a vinyl player.
