Yamaha TSR-5810 vs Yamaha RX-A1070BL comparison definitely makes sense.

Amplifier

Considered AV receivers have the same number of channels 7.2. Regarding power, then TSR-5810 has such a W/Ohm ratio - 80/8 20Hz-20KHz, 145/6 1KHz when RX-A1070BL has a power of 110/8 20Hz-20KHz. The THD is 0.09% for the TSR-5810 but 0.06% for the RX-A1070BL.

Audio features

Characteristics of digital to analog converter (DAC) are different, Burr-Brown 192 KHz/24-bit for TSR-5810 and ESS 192 KHz/24-bit for the RX-A1070BL. Both the TSR-5810 and the RX-A1070BL support Bi-amping. Each of the AV receivers can transmit an audio signal directly to the amplifier and bypasses any DSP processing.

Connectivity

Both models have the ability to connect to the Internet via WI-FI. Rivals from our review have Bluetooth support. The Apple Music service is implemented on considered devices: AirPlay. Spotify can be used on each receiver. The TSR-5810 can work with the audio stream from Pandora, and the RX-A1070BL can receive a content from Deezer, TIDAL, Pandora, Napster, SiriusXM.

Video features

These units support HDR technology. Compared AV receivers retain the quality of 4K 60p signal when transmitting from a source to a TV or projector. HDMI signal transmission in standby mode is implemented in each of the devices. The RX-A1070BL can scale the input HDMI signal, unlike the TSR-5810. Dolby Vision technology found support only on the RX-A1070BL.

Both devices have support for Dolby Atmos multichannel audio format. The surround sound technology DTS:X is supported by devices under review.
