Yamaha RX-A4A vs Yamaha R-N2000A comparison definitely makes sense.

Amplifier

A significant difference between the receivers in the number of channels, Yamaha RX-A4A has 7.2 versus 2.1 for Yamaha R-N2000A. Regarding power, then RX-A4A has such a W/Ohm ratio - 110/8 when R-N2000A has a power of 90/8, 145/4. The THD is 0.06% for the RX-A4A but 0.07% for the R-N2000A.

Audio features

Characteristics of digital to analog converter (DAC) are different, 384 KHz/32-bit for RX-A4A and 192 KHz/32-bit for the R-N2000A. Both the RX-A4A and the R-N2000A support Bi-amping. Each of the AV receivers can transmit an audio signal directly to the amplifier and bypasses any DSP processing.

Only the RX-A4A provides HDMI signal transmission in standby mode. The RX-A4A can scale the input HDMI signal, unlike the R-N2000A. Dolby Vision technology found support only on the RX-A4A. Only the RX-A4A supports HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). The HDMI eARC is available only on the RX-A4A. Of the two receivers in our comparison, HDMI CEC is present in only the RX-A4A. These compared receivers have a built-in phono stage for connecting a vinyl player. Supported voice control technologies are identical - Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri, Josh.AI. It is also worth noting that the ECO mode is presented in each of the receivers. Both RX-A4A and R-N2000A can be configured using the Setup assistant.

Multichannel surround

Only the RX-A4A has a Dolby Atmos multichannel audio format support. A surround technology DTS:X is supported only by the RX-A4A.
