Amplifier

The number of channels for receivers is different - 9.2 versus 2.1, respectively, for devices. In terms of power, there are differences, the TX-NR7100 has such a ratio W/Ohm - 100/8, 220/6, while the R-N800A has a power of 100/8, 120/6. The value of total harmonic distortion is also different, and for the TX-NR7100 it is 0.08%, but for the R-N800A it is 0.07%.

Audio features

The manufacturer installed different DACs, the TX-NR7100 received the model 384 KHz/32-bit, but the R-N800A is equipped with 192 KHz/32-bit. Each of the compared opponents supports Bi-amping. Like most receivers, our models have a built-in phono stage for connecting a vinyl player. Voice control is performed using Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri, Josh.AI in both models. There is an ECO mode in either AV receiver. The Onkyo TX-NR7100 and the Yamaha R-N800A can be properly configured using the setup assistant.

Multichannel surround

A Dolby Atmos multichannel audio format is available only in the TX-NR7100. Only in the TX-NR7100 realized a DTS:X surround technology.
