Amplifier

The number of channels for receivers is different - 9.2 versus 11.2, respectively, for devices. The value of total harmonic distortion is also different, and for the TX-RZ1100 it is 0.04%, but for the PR-RZ5100 it is 0.06%.

Audio features

The manufacturer installed different DACs, the TX-RZ1100 received the model AK4490 384 KHz/32-bit, but the PR-RZ5100 is equipped with AKM 384 KHz/32-bit. Each of the compared opponents supports Bi-amping. The model TX-RZ1100 can transmit an audio signal directly to the amplifier and bypasses any DSP processing.

Connectivity

Additional features

Ability to create 3 Multi zones inherent in both AV receivers. Voice control of the basic functions of the receiver is not realized in both models. There is an ECO mode in neither AV receiver. The Onkyo TX-RZ1100 and the Onkyo PR-RZ5100 can be properly configured using the setup assistant.
