It makes sense comparing Onkyo TX-SR343 vs Integra DTM-6 because they both are able to give some premium features.

Amplifier

A significant difference between the receivers in the number of channels, Onkyo TX-SR343 has 5.1 versus 2.0 for Integra DTM-6. Regarding power, then TX-SR343 has such a W/Ohm ratio - 100/6 when DTM-6 has a power of 80/8. The THD is the same and is 0.08%.

Audio features

Characteristics of digital to analog converter (DAC) are different, TI Burr-Brown 192 KHz/24-bit for TX-SR343 and AK4438 384 KHz/32-bit for the DTM-6. None of the models support Bi-amping. Sound transmission directly to the amplifier in Pure direct (straight) mode is not implemented in these models. None of the competitors supports Auto speaker calibration. Rivals from our review have Bluetooth support. Only the DTM-6 supports Spotify.

Video features

HDR is not available on each model. Only the TX-SR343 provides HDMI signal transmission in standby mode. Both competitors are not able to scale the HDMI signal. The HDR standard - Dolby Vision is not supported by these receivers. Only the TX-SR343 supports HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Unfortunately, HDMI eARC is not available on monitored devices. Of the two receivers in our comparison, HDMI CEC is present in only the TX-SR343. The DTM-6 has a built-in phono stage for connecting a vinyl player. An ECO mode is not present in each of the AV receivers. Unfortunately, the setup assistant is not available in each of the models.

Multichannel surround

None of the rivals equipped with Dolby Atmos multichannel audio decoder. The receivers do not support the surround sound technology DTS:X.
