Amplifier
The number of channels for receivers is different - 7.2 versus 2.1, respectively, for devices. In terms of power, there are differences, the VSX-935 has such a ratio W/Ohm - 80/8, 170/6, while the R-N800A has a power of 100/8, 120/6. The value of total harmonic distortion is also different, and for the VSX-935 it is 0.08%, but for the R-N800A it is 0.07%.
Audio features
The manufacturer installed different DACs, the VSX-935 received the model 192 KHz/24-bit, but the R-N800A is equipped with 192 KHz/32-bit. Each of the compared opponents supports Bi-amping. The model R-N800A can transmit an audio signal directly to the amplifier and bypasses any DSP processing.
Connectivity

Multichannel surround
A Dolby Atmos multichannel audio format is available only in the VSX-935. Only in the VSX-935 realized a DTS:X surround technology.
